Happy birthday to the best partner I ever could’ Happy birthday to the best partner I ever could’ve dreamed of meeting 💖 this is is the first photo we ever took together back in 2014 when going out to restaurants was still part of normal everyday life. While this year definitely looks different, I’m so glad to be spending the day (and really, all days) with you. I never thought I needed anyone else but now I know for sure how lost I would be if you weren’t in my life 💖 Here’s to a long weekend of playing the Scott Pilgrim video game, a new episode of WandaVision, anime about a girl who loves ramen and so much pizza. I love you!
Pretty sure I could just stand and stare at my boo Pretty sure I could just stand and stare at my bookshelves all day

Today I shared my most anticipated releases of 202 Today I shared my most anticipated releases of 2021 over on my YouTube channel! The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins definitely made my list! My mom and I are going to buddy read it later this week. It’s a Jane Eyre inspired thriller (though I’m also getting Rebecca vibes from the synopsis!). What are you looking forward to reading this year? Thank you @stmartinspress for the finished copy! #thewifeupstairsnovel #rachelhawkins #bookstagram #thrillerbooks
I’m sure most of you can agree with me when I sa I’m sure most of you can agree with me when I say that I have such a heavy heart about the state of our country. I keep trying to be hopeful and positive about the start of the new year but the events at the Capitol on Wednesday were a good reminder of how many hateful people walk among us. Today I’m going to attempt to cut back on doomscrolling and focus my energy into something positive. I’m still hopeful that we’ll all get through this together 💖 (no motivation = old photo I never got around to posting😬)
My current read is so good 💖 My current read is so good 💖
Just finished my first book of 2021 🎉 I adored Just finished my first book of 2021 🎉 I adored the Royals series by Katharine McGee. The ending was so unexpected and perfect!
New year, new bookshelves ✨ I spent all morning New year, new bookshelves ✨ I spent all morning reorganizing my four big bookshelves (I can’t fit them all in one photo!) and I’m so happy with the way it looks. One notable difference is that I moved all of the books forward and decluttered a lot of the random decor that’s been sitting in front of the books on my shelves for years.
Celebrated New Years with all of the new friends I Celebrated New Years with all of the new friends I made this year plus @silvergallagher in the one place where it’s still acceptable to go out and socialize 🎉

I can’t even describe the amount of joy I felt w I can’t even describe the amount of joy I felt when @alexbracken’s next novel, Lore, showed up in my mailbox! Lore follows Greek gods who are forced to walk the Earth as mortals as punishment for a past rebellion. It’s set in NYC as the next hunt approaches and two participants are seeking out Lore, who fled long ago. This is definitely going to be one of my first reads of 2021! Thank you @disneybooks for the finished copy!

I’ve been talking about how much I’ve been enj I’ve been talking about how much I’ve been enjoying nonfiction lately (I’ve mostly read memoirs and social media focused books) but I decided that my January read is going to be How to be Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. I’m really looking forward to reading and learning from it. New York Public Libraries released their lists of the most checked out titles this year and How to be Antiracist was the top title at the Brooklyn Library. Thank you so much to @randomhouse for gifting me a copy!

I’ve been reading a lot more nonfiction lately ( I’ve been reading a lot more nonfiction lately (and I want to continue reading at least one a month in 2021) so I’m very thankful @randomhouse gifted me a copy of Untamed by Glennon Doyle. The book explores how women are taught to please others and not complain. I think it’s going to be an interesting read!
I’m not seeing nearly as many trees as usual thi I’m not seeing nearly as many trees as usual this year, but I’m thankful for the ones I was able to squeeze in early in the season 🎄
