The Paranormal Book Club is the brain child of Alexa from Alexa Loves Books, DJ from Life in Fiction, Rachel from Hello Chelly and myself! On a not-so recent visit to The Strand Bookstore, we were standing in the YA fantasy section (as per usual), and we began reminiscing and feeling nostalgic about some of the older YA paranormal series that we read in our younger years. We decided to start our own little book club and reread some our most beloved series together, as well as check out some series that we may have missed.
Last year we read The Iron King by Julie Kagawa and Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl together and this year we have a new line up of old books to tackle. We pick one for each quarter and while I’m not going to be joining for all these, I am excited to try reading Unearthly and The Morganville Vampires. My beginning of the year is going to be focused on re-reading and finally completing the Vampire Academy series.

I’m excited for another year of PBC! It’s really fun to be able to discuss this with everyone whenever we pick up a new book to read together, and I’m looking forward to the ones we’ve chosen for this year.
