June TBR

There’s a definite summer theme happening in my June TBR which couldn’t make more sense based on my current headspace.  After getting to spend all of last summer on Long Island, I’m SO excited to get the full season here once again.  There are so many things on my summer bucket list and these beachy reads are definitely going to keep me in the mood for pool time, beach days, walks in the parks, summer dresses, and of course, ice cream!

Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenblum – This debut starts off with a body being found on the boardwalk on Fire Island at the beginning of the summer season. It’s a rich people behaving badly kind of book which is always an insta-read for me!

Block Party by Jamie Day – I have an ARC of this one and I’m so excited to read it! It’s a thriller that takes place in the exclusive Meadowbrook community on the night of their annual block party when a murder occurs.

The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand – This will be my first Elin Hilderbrand novel and I’m really hoping to love it so I can look forward to reading her extensive backlist! This one takes place in the rundown historic Nantucket Hotel where the ghost of a young girl is hanging around until her spirit is acknowledged.

Blush by Jamie Brenner – This one also takes place on Long Island on the North Fork and follows three generations of women who are trying to save their family’s coastal winery. The setting and the premise are right up my alley!

Mermaid Inn by Jenny Holiday (Matchmaker Bay #1) – This book has been on my TBR forever and I’m finally making it a priority! I love the beachy cover and assuming I enjoy this one, I’m looking forward to reading the whole Matchmaker Bay series. This one is a small town second chance romance.

The Kingdom of Prep: The Inside Story of the Rise and (Near) Fall of JCrew by Maggie Bullock – If you read or peek at my monthly purchases posts, it’s no secret how much I love JCrew! I’m really excited to hear more about the history of the brand along with the struggles they were facing a few years ago.  I feel like they’ve finally found their stride again as a company.
